Black Iron Manacles

Black Iron Manacles is a rare cursed relic from the Eternal card game. It has joint affiliation with the Fire and Shadow factions.

What Does Black Iron Manacles Do?

This is a Relic card, meaning that it's played on a player's main character (face) rather than on a unit. In theory you could play it on yourself, however that would probably be a rather stupid thing to do!

Once this curse has been applied, the player suffers damage at the end of each turn equal to the number of cards they've drawn or discarded this turn. So the player loses at least one point of life per turn; if you can get this card out early in the game, that can really add up.

Black Iron Manacles is clearly more effective against decks that rely on gaining tempo by getting extra draws with cards like Amber Acolyte, Oni Quartermaster or Yeti Spy. It's even more effective if you also manage to play Azindel's Gift on the enemy.

Since this is a curse, you can get rid of it by using a card such as Decay or Ruin.
