Bloodrite Kalis

Bloodrite Kalis is a rare relic card from the Eternal card game. It has dual allegiance with the Fire and Shadow factions.

What Does Bloodrite Kalis Do?

Bloodrite Kalis is an interesting card that can form the focus of a fun deck. If things work out it can be spectacularly powerful - but if things go wrong they can go badly wrong.

When you play Bloodrite Kalis, all your units on the battlefield are killed and go to the void; since this is a friendly effect, Aegis can't save them.

That doesn't sound very useful, so why would you do it? Because Bloodrite Kalis then gains +2/+2 for each unit lost this way. So with six units on the battlefield your character would now have a +12/+12 weapon.

If you had 10 units on the battlefield before playing this card then you'd have a +20/+20 character. Awesome!

So the strategy for Kalis based decks is to get as many cheap units on the battlefield as quickly as possible then play this card and wipe out your opponent. Cards such as Assembly Line that produce tokens work especially well.

For even better results, play Oblivion Spike immediately after Bloodrite Kalis!

The danger of course is that your opponent uses something like Lightning Storm to take out those cheap little units before you can get Kalis onto the board.
