Oblivion Spike

Oblivion Spike is a rare relic card from the Eternal card game. It belongs to the Shadow faction.

What Is Oblivion Spike?

Oblivion Spike is a Relic Weapon, meaning that it's played on your main character rather than on a unit. Unlike most weapon, this one doesn't have a fixed attack value. Instead it gains +1 attack for each of your units in the void.

This ability makes Oblivion a good fit for deck builds based around sacrificing large numbers of cheap units: for example the Fire faction's Grenadin. As such it can work well in a Shadow+Fire deck, a faction combo known as Stonescar. As of card set 1 there are few dedicated Stonescar cards, more are expected to be added in the Omens Of The Past expansion.

As with all weapons, Oblivion Spike is destroyed when your armour reaches zero so you need to time playing this card properly. If you're running a Shadow/Justice (Argenport) you can boost your armour with cards like Reinforce and Throne Warden, however that combo is less good at spamming cheap units.
