Voice Of The Speaker

Voice Of The Speaker is a rare unit card from the Eternal card game. It belongs to the Time faction.

What Does Voice Of The Speaker Do?

This unit is a mage and very much not a fighter - with combat stats of 1/2 you'll want to avoid using her to attack or block. However she does have a very useful passive skill: whilst Voice of the Speaker is on the battlefield, all your power cards have the Echo skill added to them. This means that whenever you draw a power card you automatically get a second copy of the same card.

Getting extra power cards like this can be very useful, especially for a deck built round ramping up power level quickly or for an Empower deck. Even if you're not playing a specialised deck, Voice of the Speaker can help reduce the chance of power famine.

Voice of the Speaker makes a very powerful combination with Combrei Emissary, especially in an Empower deck.

A couple of important points to note about this card. Firstly, its power only activates when you draw a card. If you gain power from a spell/effect you'll need to check the wording on the card carefully. For example Seek Power says "Draw a sigil..." so you do' get a second copy. But Secret Pages says "Play a sigil..." No draw so no echo.

Secondly, the effect of this card does not stack. If you have more than one copy of Voice of the Speaker in play then when you draw a power card you still only get one extra copy.
